Epilogue

Elvis has left the building.

Nearly a decade ago, the legendary King Of Rock & Roll faced the voting public in the 1997 Canadian general election. Apparently not wanting a longer weekend or another use for toenail clippings, the voters of the Vancouver Centre riding rejected Elvis in favour of the Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and the Status of Women. Well, the King likes women – the more multicultural the better – so he cannot hold a grudge against the electors of the fine city of Vancouver.

In case you missed the adventure that was the Elvis97 Tour, here is my personal election diary from those glorious days. Long live the King!
